Welcome To B.V.V.S S.R.Vastrad Rural Polytechnic, Guledagudd

The B.V.V.S S.R.Vastrad Rural Polytechnic was started in the year 1983 offering Diploma Courses in Electronics &  Communication Engg., Textile Technology. Later on it started Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Civil Engineering. At present it offers the Diploma Courses in five disciplines. The College is a Government Aided Institution affiliated to Board of Technical Examination, Bengaluru (Govt. of Karnataka) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi

The Polytechnic runs vocational courses under Community Development Through Polytechnic (CDTP) Scheme, sponsored by MHRD (Govt. of India).

This college is situated at the outskirts of Guledgudd Town, on Badami Road and is adjacent to Guledgudd Railway Station. It is located in a well spread out campus of 12 acres with lush green surroundings. The focus of the college in addition to imparting technical education to students in his/her trade is the following: To make available technical man power to the industry as per their requirements. Students are also trained for self employment & entrepreneurship. Special emphasis is laid on overall personality development of the students by encouraging them to participate in extra curricular activities & other competitions.
